The Claris Smart Water Filter Cartridge has been developed to help prevent scale deposits from building up in your coffee machine which can lead to breakdowns and limited efficiency.

Water filter cartridges in your coffee machine filter out impurities from the water such as chlorine and calcium, as well as bad tastes and odours before they touch the coffee grounds. Filtered cold water can also help improve the taste of brewed coffee.

To make maximum use of the filter and its capacity, JURA developed the Intelligent Water System (I.W.S.®). Using modern RFID (Radio-frequency Identification) technology to allow the coffee machine to continually communicate with the filter; the machine will recognise whether a filter has been inserted and will automatically activate the appropriate mode.

The smart technology will then continually collect information about filter usage and alert you when the filter capacity has been exhausted.

It works on the Professional up-flow principle to filter exactly the amount of water required for each preparation and thanks to its pioneering formula; the filter cartridge is ideally suited to mains water anywhere in the world.

Use of the Claris Smart Water Filter Cartridge guarantees you freshly filtered, delicious-tasting coffee and hot water at all times. This filter cartridge is easily placed directly in the water tank and it only uses the precise amount of water required for the given beverage that is drawn in, and this is filtered directly before use.

It's important to replace the filters on a regular basis to give lifelong protection to your machine (eliminating the need for descaling).
